Growing up, I've always been passionate about creating something of my own. I used to keep a small notebook of inventions, where I would draw up small blueprints of what my final product would look like. I would let my mind run wild, calling them incredulous names, invoking the creative in me, while the technical aspect of my brain always made sure they obeyed the laws of physics.
I decided to pursue a technical degree, but my passion for creativity and love for doodling has led me searching for the perfect combination of both, which is why I am currently pursuing UI/UX design and software development.
I am also an avid cinephile, and am bursting with trivia about old Hollywood movies in particular! Another interesting fact about me is that I have been pursuing theatre since I was 9 years old! I have performed (and still perform) in a variety of productions as well as short films, in Singapore and beyond! Theatre has helped me vastly improve my communication skills, and acts as another platform for me to express myself creatively (the first being through design)!

A brief look into the UI/UX and VR design projects I have undertaken so far.
The process for me is by far the most important part of the project. Starting from conceptualisation and ideation, followed by wire-framing and prototyping, all the way to development and deployment, all while liaising with the end users, I believe, is the key to building a successful product.
As a part of the Global Collateral Monitoring team, I have worked on a multitude of projects over the past year. From creating dashboards to monitor margin calls, as well as using machine learning algorithms to try and detect the type of margin call, I have dabbled in both back-end and front-end development. However, I would still consider my primary strength to be UI/UX design, which is illustrated in the current project I have undertaken, SIMM (Standard Initial Margin Methodology), where I have built an entire dashboard from scratch starting from ideation and conceptualisation to design and development, to be used by the front-office users at the bank. I have also presented my project to various leaders in the firm.
Tech Stack: Figma (UI/UX Design and Prototyping), ReactJS (Client Side Development), Java/Springboot (Server side Development and RestAPI creation), Docker and Kubernetes (CI/CD Pipeline), Jira (Production Tool)
As a part of the Trade Surveillance team, I was tasked with building a Trading Alerts Monitoring Dashboard for the Compliance Analysts and the Site Reliability Engineers in the Company. I followed and implemented the Agile Development Framework, and built the complete application from the ground up, from ideation to deployment on the JP Morgan internal cloud (Gaia).

During the course of this internship, I worked on two major projects. The first one was to improve upon, and develop new features for the existing Resync mobile application. I worked on revamping and redesigning many existing features in order to make the application more user-friendly. I also incorporated push notifications within the application. The second major project was to build and develop Resync's new Smart-Home mobile application. I had to start afresh for this project, and designed and deployed the first version on both the Google Play Store as well as the App Store.

During this internship, I conducted detailed market research on laser-induced graphene and its applications in masks, to help combat COVID-19. I also performed extensive data analysis and visualisation on Panasonic's patent database, for the purpose of predicting trends on the effects of laser-induced graphene and hyperspectral imaging in the use of such masks. I derived actionable intelligence and presented my extracted insights to upper management as well.
